BASIC ELECTRICAL SAFETY

This class discusses the basics of safety when working on or near electrical equipment (50 volts-600 volts-OSHA). Students will learn- Examination of Equipment, Working Clearances, Overcurrent Protection, Grounding, Wiring Methods, Electrical Boxes, Flex Cord & Cable, Hazardous Locations, Safe Work Practices and Hazard recognition.  (4 Hr. class) (Exceeds OSHA1910 Subpart S)

 

COMPREHENSIVE ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Comprehensive electrical safety is designed to cover most aspects of electrical safety. Electrical safety regarding low voltage (50-600 volt) and high voltage (600 volts and above), (6-8 Hr class) (Exceeds OSHA 1910 Subpart S) (NESC)

 

ELECTRICAL LOCK OUT TAG OUT

Lock out-tag out is one of the most effective ways of preventing electrical accidents. Students will learn Energy control program and procedures, Energy Isolation Devices, Requirements for Lock out Tag out and which employees are required to be trained if working on or exposed to (8 Hr. class). (Exceeds OSHA 1910.141-147) and/or (Electrical 1910.333) and/or (1910.269)

 

ARC FLASH TRAINING

The arc flash electrical safety standard addresses electrical safety requirements for employee workplaces that are necessary for the practical safeguarding of employees. Our ISI instructor will teach your employees how to identify electrical safety hazards and exposures, Legal Requirements, Correct PPE and its limits, NFPA 70E requirements (8 Hr. class -1 day). (NFPA 70 E)

 

SAFETY AWARENESS IN SUBSTATION TRAINING

Those personnel working in an energized/de-energized Substation must be trained under these OSHA requirements.  Subjects covered include-Work near energized equipment, Barricades and Barriers, Clearances, Control Panels, Mechanical Equipment, Storage, and Substation Fences (3 Hr). (Exceeds OSHA 1910 Subpart R and 1926 Subpart V)

 

POWERLINE AWARENESS TRAINING

This class is a must for personnel working in the proximity of power lines.  Subjects covered include- Proper Clearances, Grounding, Overhead Power line Identification, Underground Lines, Effects of electricity on human body (2 Hrs). (Exceeds OSHA Subpart R 29 CFR 1910.269 & CFR 1926.950)
